Lucy, Lucy, Lucy.... well our beloved Lucy was rescued from a high kill shelter in South Carolina that had to get her out at the last minute to save her live! Dogs XL didn't hesitate and she is now in a foster home in the Baltimore area.
Unfortunately, when she got here, she didn't feel well. The vet ran tests and determined that she was Positive for Stage Three Heartworm Disease. The cost of xrays, medication, blood work and treatment come to hundreds of dollars!
