Carolina came to us from North Carolina after she wound up in a high-kill shelter. She was matted, extremely overweight and tired. The vet estimates her to be about 3 years old and most likely an Australian Shepherd Mix with a little Golden and something else full of fluff. It turns out she was overweight, not due to being over fed, but due to medical neglect. She has a thyroid imbalance and painful and fast-growing bladder stones.
The blood work, urinalysis, x-rays, special diet food and medications were expensive running $600. Unfortunately, she may need surgery to remove the bladder stones as well which will cost over $1000. CAROLINA NEEDS YOUR HELP! Any donation goes directly to her medical costs!
Dogs XL Rescue is an All volunteer non-profit Rescue. We depend on YOUR GENEROSITY to help us do what we do best, which is SAVING LIVES! We strive to meet the needs of each of our dogs that we have pulled to safety whether it involves veterinary bills, training/behavioral specialists or boarding. Occasionally, one dog can have extensive funding needs costing hundreds to thousands of dollars while they are in our care. We are able to meet their needs only because of people like YOU!
