Hugh on the road to recovery-- he'll be as good as new in a few weeks! |
This sweet guy is a Great Pyrenees mix. He weighs about 70 pounds and our best age-guessers estimate he's about 4-5 years old. When he came to us from the shelter, he was a little wobbly and was having trouble walking. Turns out, he needed a procedure called a tibial plateau leveling osteotomy-- a surgical procedure which will make his knee much more stable once it's healed.
The good news: the vet says his prognosis is good to excellent! The not-so-good news: Hugh has racked up about $2,000 in vet bills!
